Sam Wood

Wood has advanced through the ranks at Trent Bridge and was given the chance to make his Nottinghamshire first-class debut against Lancashire in June 2011.

He was a replacement for Samit Patel, who was called-up to the England squad midway through the match, and bowled four overs conceding just eight runs.

The left-handed batsman has also featured in the Clydesdale Bank 40 for Notts and is a member of England’s Under-19 set-up.
