Biography
A stylish right-handed batsman and wily left-arm spinner, Patel is someone England have been looking to get in the fold for some time. Having enjoyed a breakthrough season for Nottinghamshire in 2007 - he hit four hundreds in the championship and finished the season with an average of 52.17 - Patel made his international debut the following year.
