Simon Marshall

The leg-spinner was promoted to the full-time playing staff at the end of the 2004 season following an impressive campaign for the second XI and the release of Chris Schofield.

Produced the second best figures by a Lancashire bowler in the Second XI Championship when he took 9-47 against Nottinghamshire in July.

Captained Cambridge University in 2003 and the English Universities South African tour in 2004. Also played for Neston in the Cheshire County League.

Made three first-team appearances in the County Championship during the 2005 season as Lancashire won the Division Two title.
