Full Name: Stephen David Snell
Born: February 27, 1983, Winchester
Batting Style: Right-hand bat
Snell spent his early years moving through the Hampshire ranks, and also plied his trade for MCC Young Cricketers before joining Gloucestershire in 2005, the year he won the NBC Denis Compton award. He spent much of his first few years at Bristol struggling to force his way into the first team, but did so in impressive fashion in 2008. He hit 127 - his maiden first-class hundred - in the drawn LV County Championship encounter against Worcestershire in May, and sat atop the Gloucestershire averages when he signed a three-year contract extension midway through the campaign.
