Biography
The batsman has made his way into the first-team squad after joining Essex as a 14-year-old in 2003. Westley also showed plenty of potential as an off-spin bowler in 2006, a year that saw him make his first-team debut in the one-day match against the touring Sri Lankans in June. He made his first-class bow for Essex against Cambridge UCCE in May the following year and went on to appear in four LV County Championship games that summer, with a highest score of 72 against Somerset.
