Biography
An integral part of the Tasmanian Tigers' 2004-2005 ING Cup winning team. He burst onto the scene, making 145 after a last-minute call-up, the Tasmanian record for the highest individual one-day innings. He has provided Tasmania with some dynamic starts in both ING and Pura Cup. A former Australian Under 19 representative, Birt was a Commonwealth Bank Cricket Academy scholarship holder in 2001.
