Zander de Bruyn
De Bruyn is predominantly a batsman who is particularly strong on the front foot - although he bowls useful medium pace as well.
He was called up to the South Africa Test side in 2004 and, despite scoring 83 against India on debut, was discarded after only three games.
Having played for Worcestershire in 2005, de Bruyn joined Somerset for 2008 and soon became a consistent member of their middle order, notably in List A cricket with an average in excess of 53.
He moved to Surrey for 2011 and, having gone agonisingly close to silverware several times with Somerset, helped win the Clydesdale Bank 40 and promotion in the LV= County Championship.
