After hundreds of entries the ECB have announced the winners of The Great Exhibition Photo Competition.
Former England Ashes winning captain Mike Gatting had the difficult job of selecting the winning photographs which he believed best captured the ‘essence’ of recreational cricket.
Following an action-packed summer of cricket, The Great Exhibition Photo Competition was launched to celebrate people’s passion for the great game.
The competition called on fans, recreational players, cricket club officials and behind the scenes heroes in England and Wales to capture their best shots on camera this summer.
The winning entries would all win first class cricket equipment for their local cricket club, so the calibre of entries was always going to be high.
Gatting, ECB's Managing Director Cricket Partnerships, commented: “The aim of this competition was to celebrate people’s love for the game. All the photographs submitted managed to capture the spirit of cricket.
"It was therefore a very hard decision to make due to the incredibly high standard of entries. What the competition did reveal was the sheer passion that can be found at the grassroots level of the game and that can only be positive for the future of cricket."
