Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium, Sharjah

Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium

End names: Pavilion End, Sharjah Club End

The Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium was built in the early 1980s and very quickly became a regular home for one-day tournaments.

Between 1984 and 2003 the ground hosted 198 ODIs and four Tests. The stadium initially started with a few limited seats and very modest facilities but by 2002 had a 27,000 capacity and floodlights.

The venue has become less popular in recent years due to the recently built state-of-the-art Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
