Richard Johnson

Richard Johnson made his County Championship debut for Middlesex in 1992. After a move to Somerset in 2001 the highlight of his career came in 2003. During that year he played three Tests and 10 one-dayers. He retired from playing in 2007, at the age of 32, to take up a role coaching Berkshire. They immediately won the Minor Counties Championship! He now is Assistant Coach at Middlesex, running the second team and working with all the county's bowlers. He also works for the ECB, developing the next generation of seamers, and tutoring on the Level 3 Coach Education Programme
