Blighted by the Aussie weather

Posted in Domestic Cricket

It has been a tiring and frustrating three weeks since arriving at the Darren Lehmann Academy in Adelaide.

We have worked pretty hard in all areas but, unfortunatly, due to the weather on the weekends I have not been able to put my new skills into practice. Not what you expect coming to Australia.

Having landed in Australia last month I was feeling fresh and ready for five months of training at the academy and club cricket with Adelaide CC on weekends.

The training is five days a week and consists of skills, match situation and fitness.

The skills session have been based in the indoor centre working on current areas of my game which I feel need improving, along with some of Darren's advice.

These sessions happen two or three times a week.

The match situations, normally on a Wednesday, have been an open middle practice giving a good competitive edge and time to improve the mental side of the game.

We also do fitness work involving two weights sessions a week, as well as injury prevention and a cardio session.
