Kirby Muxloe have a special New Year
Posted in NatWest CricketForce 2008
NatWest CricketForce 2008 may be scheduled for the April 4, 5 and 6 but that doesn’t mean that this is the only time you can have your event.
This will be the case for Kirby Muxloe CC in Leicestershire who have been chosen to host a special NatWest CricketForce event at their ground on Friday January 4 2008.
Along with the club members attending and getting their hands dirty the England U19 squad will be joining them for the day as a team-building exercise in preparation for the U19 World Cup in Malaysia in February 2008.
They will be there to help out with painting and decorating and any other jobs the good people of Kirby Muxloe CC will have for them; they’ve just had their old port-a-cabin pavilion knocked down in preparation for a new one to be built so there’ll be lots to do!
Also helping out along with the U19 squad will be a contingent of ECB staff including Mike Gatting, newly appointed Managing Director of Cricket Partnerships at the ECB. Sponsors, NatWest, will be there with eager helping hands along with members of staff from a whole host of our Official Supporters including newcomers Wolseley Build Center and Dulux Decorator Centres.
Kirby Muxloe CC has lots of ‘Green’ projects planned for their Club and this goes in perfect harmony with the theme of NatWest CricketForce 2008 which is ‘Go Green’. As the environment and energy efficiency are becoming an ever more ‘hot topic’, we will be encouraging all cricket clubs registered in NatWest CricketForce 2008 to do their bit to help the environment.
Whether it is using energy-efficient light bulbs, saving rainwater, or even just turning down their thermostats a degree or two, there are lost of options for clubs to help in some way.
