Autoguide Equipment is a British design engineering firm, established in 1977. their range of ground care products includes the Auto-Roller range of cricket rollers, the Turf Trooper triple cylinder ride-on mower, the Post Master fence post installer and the Star-Strimmer fencepost strimmer.
Located in Wiltshire, Autoguide have a staff of over 25 in the development shop, production workshops and offices.
Autoguide Equipment’s highly regarded Auto-Roller is used at the top Test cricket grounds, as well as county, village and school greens throughout the world.
Continuously developed over 80 years, the Auto-Roller today retains all the features that have made it so successful, ensuring it keeps the finest cricket wickets in world-class condition.
Manufactured in Britain, the range includes the standard 4ft roller, the smaller 3ft roller, and the Re-power kit.
The 3ft roller was introduced to meet the demand of smaller clubs with budget constraints. It is not compromised in any way other than the smaller roll width.
The Autoguide Re-power kit can bring your old roller back to life. It simply bolts in after removing the existing engine, transmission and steering linkage. The kit also comes with an option of shot blasting and respraying the roller, meaning you can update it in Auto-Roller green, or even show off your school or cricket club’s own colours!
The range of Auto-Rollers features as standard:
- Low-emission diesel engines for a smooth and quiet operation
- Precision pre-lubricated bearings on all roller shafts and precision machined rolls allowing for perfect pitch preparation
- Full hydrostatic transmission and power steering; fully contained and run on biodegradable oil, meaning reduced possibility of surface damage from spillage
- ElectricsStart. The Auto-Roller runs at 7kph forward and reverse with a tilt-able steering wheel for better visibility.
