Drought assessment

As changes to our climate occur there may be occasions when clubs need to operate under a drought restriction order.
If your club is currently, or soon to be, operating according to a drought restriction order, we have a number of resources to support you.
In extreme cases, when your cricket square is showing signs of drought-related stress, the club should undertake a risk assessment. Your club secretary will work with the groundsman to initiate the assessment, with all records kept on site.
If an assessment results in evidence of a risk to players’ health and safety, water companies reserve the right to reduce the levels of restriction under an order.
No exemptions are allowed in periods of heightened restriction as public health and safety takes precedence.
