Sport England funds hundreds of projects in grassroots sports every year, of which your club project could be one. The following programmes could help to greatly improve your club’s facilities.
Sport England Small Grants
Sport England’s Small Grants Scheme uses lottery funding to make awards of between £300 and £10,000 to local grassroots sport projects. The scheme supports projects that seek to increase or sustain participation, or develop opportunities for people to excel at their chosen sport – including cricket.

Protecting Playing Fields
The purpose of the Protecting Playing Fields funding is to preserve and improve playing fields and facilitate community sport. If your cricket club plays on an existing ground, or has the opportunity to expand or move to a new site, this fund could be an option for you.

The Sport England Inspired Facilities fund has been paused as of January 2016 while Sport England reviews and re-develops its strategy for supporting grassroots sport. Find out more about the strategy development here.
