England Visually Impaired line-up ahead of their game with Pakistan

England’s Visually Impaired team fell to a nine-wicket defeat in the first match of their series against Pakistan at the Ajman Oval, UAE.

Put into bat by the hosts, England lost four wickets in the first eight overs, with Dan Field, Sam Murray, Nathan Foy and Andy Powers all falling before the score reached 40.

Justin Hollingsworth and Peter Blueitt steadied the innings, putting on 73 from the next ten overs before Hollingsworth was bowled for 34 off 35 balls by Mohsin Khan. Blueitt also reached 34 before also losing his wicket in the following over, with captain Ed Hossell falling in the 20th over to leave England on 137/7.

Pakistan made short work of the chase, reaching their target in the 13th over. Muhammad Rashid hit 62 from just 37 balls, putting on 103 for the first wicket with Haroon Khan in just nine overs.

Riasat Khan added a run-a-ball 16 batting at number three to help his team to victory, with Foy picking up the only wicket to fall.
