Six players to watch in the Bob Willis Trophy final

Sir Alastair Cook has been on form with the bat in the Bob Willis Trophy

Essex

Simon Harmer

The star spinner has had another memorable red-ball campaign. He's taken 34 wickets at 13.70, more than anyone in the competition. Harmer will be looking for a big performance at the home of cricket.

Jamie Porter

A consistent performer for years, Porter has been in the wickets for Essex again in 2020. The seamer has taken 21 wickets at 18.80. Somerset will need to play him well to avoid getting into trouble early in their innings.

Sir Alastair Cook

Thirty-five years old and still churning the runs out. The Essex opener has 360 runs at 45 with a high score of 129*. Cook has 4 Test match hundreds at Lord's and he'll be looking to replicate that success in the BWT final.

Somerset

Craig Overton

The Somerset seamer has been a threat with the red ball all summer, claiming 28 wickets at just 10.71 with two five-wicket hauls. Darren Stevens is the only seamer with more. Somerset will hope Overton continues to produce more magic spells next week.

Josh Davey

Overton's opening bowling partner has also wreaked havoc in the Bob Willis Trophy this summer. Davey has taken 24 wickets at 10.12. If the Somerset opening pair are on-song they could cause some damage to the Essex top-order.

Tom Abell

One of the most exciting batsmen around at the moment. Abell scored 352 runs at 44 with two centuries. A good performance in a showcase final at Lord's and Abell may see his name in discussion for International honours.
