Notts Outlaws 123 lost to Hampshire Hawks 125/9 by 2 runs
Drama at the last
Hampshire Hawks were staring down the barrel of defeat. Chasing a modest 126 to win, Notts Outlaws were cruising at 83/3 with 46 balls remaining. Then the Hawks stepped up, first through Liam Dawson taking two wickets in successive deliveries, then Scott Currie who did the same. Matthew Carter plundered three sixes and looked to be steering the Outlaws back to Finals Day, but in the final over...

Well played, Hampshire. They join Sussex Sharks in the semi-finals.
This is What You Came For
23-year-old Calvin Harrison has had quite the summer in the Vitality Blast. His two wickets in this quarter-final makes him the joint second-leading wicket-taker in the competition, with 20 scalps. Harrison's pair at Trent Bridge came in successive deliveries, first bowling Lewis McManus with one that spun just enough before Liam Dawson chipped straight back.
🔥 @TrentBridge are completely dominant!

Hawks Prest the run button
Tom Prest was playing only his sixth T20 match, but the 18-year-old looked completely at ease against an Outlaws bowling attack which was dominant in the first innings. After Hampshire were asked to bat first, they found themselves 40/5 after nine overs, and all at sea. Prest, who came in at number three, was composed beyond his years and added 44 to rebuild the Hawks' innings.

Top-class Hales
He might have only scored 19, but Alex Hales looked classy as ever at the crease. Along with Joe Clarke he got the Outlaws off to a blistering start, scoring 42 from the first 4.2 overs, and his innings included this stunning shot. It's not the first time he's played this kind of shot in this year's Blast, or even the first time he's played it in a quarter-final on home turf. But it's worth several watches all the same.
