Dane Vilas was in imperious form with the bat as he racked up a career high and best ever score by a Lancashire number six when he was eventually out for 244. His innings included 25 fours & 4 sixes! Vilas' mammoth innings allowed the bowlers to finish the job for Lancashire who rise to second in the table.

Simon Harmer's career-best haul of 14/128 led Essex to a convincing win over Warwickshire to cement their place at the top of Division One. Harmer was virtually unplayable on the final day as he claimed the most wickets in a match by any Championship bowler since 2014.

Ravi Bopara hit his first Championship hundred since July 2014 but it was definitely worth the wait! Bopara hit 16 fours & 3 sixes on his way to a magnificent 192. He shared a monster partnership of 229 with James Foster (121) as Essex racked up a mammoth 541/9d. Bopara's hundred contributed to another big win for Essex who sit top of Division One.
