A batting and bowling masterclass from Rory Kleinveldt helped Northants defeat Notts by 124 runs to keep their promotion hopes alive. The all-rounder took no fewer than 13 wickets in the match, his career-best bowling figures, and chipped in with two handy innings that proved to be the difference. Superb effort.

Alongside Kleinveldt, Richard Levi was hungry with the bat, hitting 16 fours and four sixes in his century knock finishing up with 115 runs off just 104 balls. It helped set Notts a run chase of 314 to win, which they couldn't muster.

Kiran Carlson's second first-class century and his first in Cardiff was the highlight for Glamorgan with the match ending as a draw. The 19-year-old's brilliant 191 was also the highest score seen at the stadium since its redevelopment. He followed it up with a breezy 44-ball 53 in the second innings.
