Jason Gillespie to leave Yorkshire at end of season

Jason Gillespie is set to leave his position as Yorkshire head coach at the end of this season, the club have announced.

Jason Gillespie is set to leave his position as Yorkshire head coach at the end of this season, the club have announced.

The former Australia fast bowler took the county up from Division Two and led them to two consecutive Championship titles since his arrival in November 2011.

He lost just five Championship fixtures in the 76 played in that time, and has Yorkshire in the mix to retain their Division One crown, as they look to achieve the feat of three Championship wins in a row for the first time since the 1960s.

Director of Cricket Martyn Moxon will start the search for a new first XI coach once the current season concludes, a Yorkshire statement revealed.
