Rash’s return:
Adil Rashid had to wait nearly five-and-a-half years to return to the England ODI side. Once he did return he took the chance with both hands and neither he or the team have looked back since.
In his very first match back from his exile, Rashid took four wickets against New Zealand and hit an unbeaten 69.
He went on to take 15 wickets overall in the summer of 2015 against New Zealand and Australia and would go from strength to strength under the guidance of Eoin Morgan.
The first five-wicket haul:
It had been a long time coming and when it arrived nobody was more deserving that Adil.
Having taken four wicket hauls on four occasions the elusive five-for eventually came against Ireland at Bristol.
His figures if 5-27 restricted Ireland to just 126 and England cruised home to victory.
Awesome against the Aussies:
In two series against Australia in 2018 Adil showed his increasing ability to consistently take wickets with the white ball and his now lethal googly as he took 22 wickets in 10 matches.
With wickets in every match of the home series he played a major role in helping England secure a memorable 5-0 whitewash over Australia.
The Kohli ball:
An incredible summer in 2018 for England and Adil Rashid ended with a series victory against world number two side India.
Virat Kohli was at his very best yet one of the standout moments saw Rashid bowl the India captain with a sublime leg break that will go down in folklore.
This wasn’t the only time Rashid dismissed Kohli in the series. In the first ODI he dismissed him with another corker which drew him out his crease and ripped past his edge.
