What will my child be doing?

Sessions begin with a 5-10 minute warm-up to get the children moving and recapping on gross motor skills and basic ball handling.

The sessions continue with skill builders for 15 minutes, providing everything children need to play, particularly focusing on bowling, which can be the make-or-break element of any game of cricket!

The session finishes with a game of countdown cricket that will take 30-45 minutes and give everyone a chance to participate in all elements of the game – batting, bowling and fielding.

How else can children play?

For children wanting to play club cricket throughout the summer, there are over 5,000 clubs around the country for you to choose from. Dynamos is aimed at complementing junior cricket so children can do both if they wish! Find out more about junior cricket formats here.

For 8-year-olds who are totally new to the sport, or nervous about joining a Dynamos session, All Stars Cricket may be more suitable.

All Stars Cricket is the perfect introduction for all 5 to 8-year-olds and teaches children the fundamental skills needed for cricket including catching, throwing and batting. All Stars children are provided with a full kit bag of bat, ball, personalised t-shirt and rucksack.

Try Dynamos Cricket Holiday Camps

Has your child been inspired by the summer of cricket? Do they want to find more ways to play?

We are introducing Dynamos Cricket Holiday Camps to provide an exciting way for kids aged 8-11 to play, learn cricket skills and make new friends.

The holiday camp helps develop skills such as bowling, batting and fielding, as well as providing lots of opportunity to play a game of Countdown Cricket. This means the children and their new friends can put their newly acquired skills to the test right away.

Every participant receives a personalised New Balance shirt with their name and chosen number.

The camps are led by qualified Activators and session times and length vary depending on the venue.
