Scoring

Scoring plays a crucial part in a game of cricket, ensuring that runs scored, wickets down and other key information is recorded during the game.
Scorers need to have a good understanding of the game, a high level of accuracy, a good attention to detail and have great teamworking skills, as scorers work in pairs (usually each scorer from each team playing).
Scoring a game of cricket can be done in multiple ways, from traditional book scoring and linear style to electronic scoring using computers, tablets or in some forms of the game, a mobile app.
The ECB provide a structured approach to aid the development and progression opportunities for scorers who are looking to score in new and challenging environments across the Recreational Game, with a structured access route for some to the Professional Game.
