Vitality Blast | Lancs do Roses double as Outlaws smash Falcons

Catch up on the best bits from two key games in the Vitality Blast North Group

Notts Outlaws 143/2 beat Derbyshire Falcons 142/8 by 8 wickets
Lancashire Lightning 167/6 beat Yorkshire Vikings 160/6 by 7 runs

LIVINGSTONE ON FORM AS LANCS QUALIFY
Liam Livingstone was disappointed to get in and get out in the Roses match on Monday, but he made his presence count at Emirates Old Trafford. He began smashing Adam Lyth down the ground and then found the short leg-side boundary with immense power. Livingstone whacked four sixes in his 69 and added 130 for the second wicket with Steven Croft, who hit 58, to set up a total just beyond the Yorkshire Vikings. Lightning are now in the quarter-finals.

ALL-ROUNDER ROOT
The Vikings had looked in complete command at one stage, thanks to Dawid Malan and Joe Root. England's Test captain hit 64 and looked supremely fluent, knocking the ball around with ease, although his dismissal just after Malan's - both run out - gave Lancashire a way back into the game. Root had also earlier taken two wickets, including that of Rob Jones with a gorgeous leg-break.

BEN BELTS IT
Ben Duckett handed Notts Outlaws a sixth-straight win in the Vitality Blast, his impressive innings alongside the calm head of opener Chris Nash knocking off Derbyshire Falcons' 142 with ease. Duckett was typically unorthodox and aggressive, sweeping and reverse sweeping to good effect, with all but two of his ten boundaries coming from some form of sweep. The Outlaws sit two points clear at the top of the North Group but are already through.
