Winfield-Hill to play in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy final

England batter Lauren Winfield-Hill will join up with the Northern Diamonds for tomorrow's Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy final against Southern Vipers.

England batter Lauren Winfield-Hill will leave the bio-secure bubble at the end of the third Vitality IT20 against West Indies to join up with the Northern Diamonds ahead of tomorrow’s Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy final.

Director of England Women’s Cricket Jonathan Finch said: ‘We want to ensure players get the opportunity to play as many games as possible and we couldn’t turn down the chance for Lauren to play in a domestic final.

“We want to do right by the player and going forward we’ll be keen to offer domestic playing opportunities to England players where possible.”

Bio-secure bubble regulations mean Winfield will be unable to return for England’s final two Vitality IT20s.
