The Hawks soar against the Bears

The Hampshire Hawks thrashed Birmingham Bears to book a place at Finals Day

Birmingham Bears 82-10 lost to Hampshire Hawks 186-6 

Hampshire Hawk's captain James Vince won the toss and elected to bat first. The Bears got off to a brilliant start with the first over from Olly Stone going for one run. Hampshire Hawks then started to seriously accelerate and finished the power play 61/0 thanks to shots such as this... 

Ben McDermott went from 1 off 8 to 52 from 27 in a flash to continue the Hawks rapid start to the innings. Captain Carlos then dragged the Bears back into the game with the two wickets of James Vince and Ben McDermott in an over. 

Joe Weatherley and Ross Whiteley steadied the ship Hampshire Hawks putting on a 69 run partnership from just 40 balls. Joe Weatherley was playing some outrageous shots including this sweep from a 90mph ball!

The Hampshire Hawks got off to a quick start thanks to opening bowling partnership Nathan Ellis and Brad Wheal. By the end of the power play Birmingham Bears had lost three wickets. 

The wickets didn't stop falling with James Fuller steamrolling through the middle order of the Bears. He finished with figures 4-17 and picked up the key wickets of Chris Benjamin and Adam Hose. 

The tail provided no resistance for the Hampshire Hawks bowling attack as they bowled Birmingham Bears out for 82 runs and their place at Finals Day
