Young Lions add five players to squad for second Test against Sri Lanka U19s

England U19s lost the first LV= Insurance Test to Sri Lanka U19s at Chelmsford last week.

The England Men’s U19 selectors have added five players to the squad for the second LV= Insurance U19 Tests against Sri Lanka U19 starting on Sunday 28 August.

The Young Lions lost the first Test by three wickets at Chelmsford, but saw excellent hundreds from George Bell and Ross Whitfield, while Tom Aspinwall and Bertie Forman impressed with the ball.

The five players joining the squad are Tom Lawes, Yousef Majid (both Surrey), Stan McAlindon (Durham), James Rew (Somerset) and James Sales (Northamptonshire). Gloucestershire's Tommy Boorman has been released from the squad.

Saturday 10 September: Third Royal London U19 International - England U19 v Sri Lanka U19; Uptonsteel County Ground, Leicester.
