Seven England players named in ICC Teams of the Year

Members of the England Men's and Women's teams have been named in the ICC Teams of the Year for Test, ODI and IT20

Seven England cricketers have been named across the five ICC Teams of the Year for 2022.

England Women's spinner Sophie Ecclestone has been included in both the Women's ODI and T20 Teams of the Year, with Nat Sciver making the XI for the ODI team.

England Men's Test captain Ben Stokes leads the Men's Test team of the year and is joined in the XI by Jonny Bairstow and James Anderson.

T20 World Cup heroes Jos Buttler and Sam Curran have both been named in the Men's T20 Team of the Year.

Ecclestone excelled in both formats in 2022, taking 34 ODI wickets at an average of 19.14 and 19 T20 wickets at just 17.89.

Sciver dominated with the bat throughout the year, amassing 833 runs at an average of 59.90 including two hundreds and 5 fifties.

Bairstow's incredible summer made his selection inevitable, with six centuries in the calendar year and over 1000 Test runs.

Anderson took 36 Test wickets in 2022 at just 19.80 with a best of 5/60, in the year he celebrated his 40th birthday.

Men's Test captain Stokes struck 870 runs and took 26 wickets while leading his side to nine Test match wins out of his 10 games in charge.

England Men's T20 captain Buttler smashed 462 runs in 2022 at an average of 35.53 and a 160 strike rate. Curran took 13 wickets at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup including 3/12 in the final against Pakistan.
