Surrey County Cricket Club lifted the Vitality County Championship trophy for the third consecutive season, becoming the first county to achieve the feat since Yorkshire 56 years ago.
Skipper Rory Burns accepted the trophy from ECB Chair Richard Thompson at the conclusion of their drawn match at Essex as the season wrapped up.
Surrey won eight of their 14 matches to win the league by 16 points from second-place Hampshire.
At the other end of the table, Lancashire and Kent suffered relegation to Division Two.
Sussex capped off an excellent season, in which they also reached the final of the Vitality Blast, by being crowned Division Two champions, returning to the top tier for the first time since 2015.
Yorkshire will join the south coast side in Division One next year, having finished second in Division Two.
