England Women A were beaten in their second 50-over match against Australia A at Cricket Central, Sydney on Friday, with the scorecard here.
Tahlia Wilson (68 off 82 balls) led the hosts to 261-8 and a 125-run victory.
In reply, England opener Grace Scrivens (45) and captain Hollie Armitage (20) gave the visitors a bright start after Hannah Darlington dismissed Seren Smale for nine.
Leg-spinner Amy Smith (3-13) then struck with her first two balls of the match, removing Scrivens and then Alice Capsey. Ella Hayward then took the wicket of Armitage before Smith struck again.
Smith and Charli Knott claimed seven wickets between them as England finished on 136 all out inside 33 overs.
Fast bowler Issy Wong (3-51), left-arm spinner Kirstie Gordon (3-47), Mady Villiers and Mahika Gaur all took wickets for England.
The third and final 50-over contest will be played at the same venue on Monday 7 April before the four-day match begins on April 12.
