Vitality Ultimate Picks is back for 2025! Encompassing England Men, Women and Disability teams, as well as the men's and women's Vitality Blast competitions, Ultimate Picks is the summer's hottest T20 fantasy game.
But how can you win the incredible prizes on offer, including a net session with an England player at Lord's? It's easy - you've just got to pick the players who score the most runs, take the most wickets, and have the safest hands. Maybe easier said than done!
To collect the four Vitality Ultimate Picks, you need to select players who record the highest points total in an individual game in a gameweek. If you collect a batter, a bowler, a wicketkeeper and an all-rounder across the course of the season you'll be in the draw to win that once-in-a-lifetime net session.
But who should you pick? We've put together a list of players who we think could take the Vitality Blast by storm when the competition starts on 29 May.
Sign up now to play Vitality Ultimate Picks, with the first England games starting on 21 May.
Batters
Alice Capsey - Surrey Women
Despite being only 20 years old, Alice Capsey is an incredibly experienced T20 player, having made her England Women debut at 18, and featured in The Hundred, WBBL and WPL in recent years.
The key to locking in the batter Ultimate Pick card is finding those unicorn players who offer more than just runs with the bat. While Capsey's bowling load has reduced since she hit the scene in 2021, she is still a solid option with the ball for both Surrey and England. Indeed she took 13 wickets in this winter's WBBL in Australia - the best return from an English bowler in the competition.
Dewald Brevis - Hampshire Hawks Men
Unicorn batters seem to be limited in this year's Vitality Ultimate Picks - Dan Lawrence is one of the better options, but isn't guaranteed to bowl for Surrey in the Blast. Instead it maybe down to picking a batter who can rack up a massive score, so we've gone for Hampshire Hawks' latest overseas signing Dewald Brevis.
Brevis' new captain James Vince is already the most picked batter in the game, but the Englishman tends to accumulate a huge number of runs without a standout big score. Brevis, however, has huge potential to absolutely light up an innings with his generational abilities with the bat. With a high score of 162 in T20 cricket, and a strike rate of 146, he might score big runs very quickly.
All-Rounders
David Willey - Northamptonshire Steelbacks Men
Lancashire's Luke Wells was one of the first Ultimate Picks in 2024, but in the batter category. Now he's been reclassified as an all-rounder he's still a fantastic option in certain gameweeks, but we're going for T20 legend David Willey in the all-rounder slot.
A big-hitting batter who can insert himself anywhere in the order and a new-ball bowler who can extract some huge swing from the white Kookaburra ball, an on-form Willey will be a force to be reckoned with in Vitality Ultimate Picks.
Georgia Adams - Hampshire Hawks Women
The GOAT of women's domestic cricket in recent years, Georgia Adams has stacked up fantasy cricket points like no other and was an Ultimate Pick in week one last year. Adams scores a lot of runs, takes her fair share of wickets, and is handy in the field as well.
Wicketkeepers
Amy Jones - The Blaze
One of the best, if not THE best female wicketkeepers ever to play the game; it's hard to look past Amy Jones here, however her England selection may hamper her availability for some matches in the Vitality Blast. Superbly talented behind the stumps, Jones will surely rack up a few catches and stumpings when available for The Blaze. Her county side's batting lineup is very strong, however, meaning Jones may not have as many opportunities to influence games as some of the best wicketkeeper options in the men's game.
Matt Breetzke - Northamptonshire Steelbacks Men
Young South African Matt Breetzke was a bit of an unknown quantity when he signed for Northamptonshire Steelbacks in 2024, but British cricket fans soon knew his name after a string of standout performances at the start of the Vitality Blast.
Breetzke was an Ultimate Pick twice in the space of five gameweeks in last season's game, with his 94 runs against Derbyshire in week six helping him to 151 points. Essex's Michael Pepper was the only other wicketkeeper to earn two Ultimate Picks selections in 2024 and is another fantastic option this summer.
Bowlers
David Payne - Gloucestershire Men
Veteran left-armer David Payne took the Blast by storm in 2024, helping Gloucestershire win the title by taking 25 wickets in the group stage and a further eight on Finals Day. Payne was so dominant with the ball that he earned two Ultimate Picks selections in gameweeks seven and eight, thanks to his returns of 4/25 against Somerset and 3/7 against Glamorgan.
Since the start of 2024, Payne has taken at least one wicket in 29 of the 38 T20 (and 100-ball) matches he's played around the world. With those kind of stats it's hard to bet against the Gloucestershire man.
