India win in last over at Lord's to leave Mixed Disability series poised

2-1 to England with four games to come.

India Men's Mixed Disability 124-8 beat England Men's Mixed Disability 123-9 by two wickets.

India defied a spirited fightback from England to spoil the party at HQ, winning the third Vitality Mixed Disability IT20 by two wickets to leave the series poised at 2-1 with four games to come.

With England having won comfortably at both Taunton and Wormsley, the surrounds of Lord's saw the script flipped early doors as the visitors ran amok, reducing England to 49-7 after 12 overs.

At that point the game became all about Angus Brown, the all-rounder putting on a one-man show to almost do enough to snatch victory for Callum Flynn's team.

Firstly Brown plundered 77 from just 47 balls, including five sixes, to take his team up to 123-9 and with it give them a total to try and defend.

And with India almost over the line, despite the best efforts of a resilient English bowling effort, Brown was thrown the ball and came within a whisker of pulling off a famous hat-trick - in the end taking two wickets in two balls to somehow keep the game alive despite India needing just one run.

India weren't to be denied, hitting the winning runs off the first ball of the final over to take the win at the famous old ground and leave the series in the balance heading into the fourth game at Worcester on Friday.

Angus Brown said: "We couldn't quite get over the line today but it's a day we'll all remember for a long time. It goes to show what a game T20 can be because we had looked very comfortable across the first two matches but we came up against a different India side today.

"The hat-trick ball was just sliding down, unfortunately, but we felt right in the game at that point which I think says a lot about our spirit and our unity. It's obviously been very special to be a part of Disability Cricket Day, and play here at Lord's today, and hopefully the fans enjoyed their day too."
