England Lions will stage development camps at the ECB Performance Centre (Loughborough University) before touring Australia at the start of the men’s Ashes series.
The Lions’ winter programme will begin with a Development Camp and Profiling at Loughborough (16-17 October) before a Pace Bowling Camp (21-22 Oct) and a Development Camp (27-28 October).
A Lions squad will then fly to Australia in early November before playing England Men in a three-day warm-up at Lilac Hill in Perth from 13 November, ahead of the first men’s Ashes Test at Optus Stadium.
The Lions will additionally play two four-day matches against a Cricket Australia XI in Perth and against Australia A in Brisbane at the same time as the first and second Test matches in both cities.
ECB Performance Director, Ed Barney, said: “The England Lions programme continues to support the next generation of England players under a world-class coaching setup.
“The winter will see a combination of targeted player development, significant competitive series overseas and other bespoke opportunities on a player-by-player basis. Australia promises to be an opportunity to develop and perform as we shadow the initial stages of the Ashes.
“Looking further afield, we’re expecting a white ball series overseas in the early part of 2026”.
