Vitality Ultimate Picks is back with a bang as the Vitality Blast men's competition quarter-finals take centre stage in the first week of September.
Eight teams will be vying for a place at Finals Day, with teams from the North and South groups facing each other for the first time this season.
But who should you pick in your four-player Ultimate Picks squad? We've crunched the numbers and found 12 players worthy of serious consideration.

Batters
Will Smeed - Somerset
Will Smeed is currently the highest-scoring batter in the Ultimate Picks game thanks to his 512 runs at an average of 42.66 in the group stage.
A destructive batter on his day, Smeed scored four half-centuries as Somerset finished second in the South Group, tied on points with first-place Surrey.
Buyers beware, however; since the conclusion of the group stage in mid-July, Smeed has only passed 20 twice in nine innings since - a spell that has seen him record five single-figure scores.
James Vince - Hampshire Hawks
Vitality Blast's leading ever run-scorer; James Vince has had another very good season leading Hampshire Hawks back to the knockout stages, having missed out in 2024.
A white-ball specialist these days, Vince is like Smeed in that he scored four group-stage fifties before going on a slightly more barren run for his high standards.
A prolific run-scorer in The Hundred, Vince has struggled somewhat to match his previous heights in the 2025 competition, recording four single-figure scores in Southern Brave's first five games at the time of writing.
Tawanda Muyeye - Kent Spitfires
What's this? A proven run-scorer who's not in questionable form? That's right, Tawanda Muyeye might just be the batter for you in GW7.
Over 500 runs in the group stage for Kent Spitfires, including a stunning century against rivals Essex in June, Muyeye has continued his form into The Hundred for the Oval Invincibles.
The Spitfires may well be the underdogs against Lancashire Lightning on 6 September, but Muyeye's influence at the top of the innings could well be the difference for Kent's chances of a Finals Day berth.
All-rounders
David Willey - Northamptonshire Steelbacks
Stop the count. David Willey is the top point scorer in the whole of Ultimate Picks, so you'd better have a good reason for not picking him.
His 452 runs sit him seventh on the 2025 run-scorer list, and he also ranks inside the top 20 for the most wickets in the competition with 19 scalps. He'd probably have more, but teammates Ben Sanderson (24) and George Scrimshaw (23) have taken even more.
He also has 16 catches (second-most in the competition) and two run-outs which, combined with his other stats, is frankly disgusting.
A menace with the new ball, the Steelbacks will have to be firing on all cylinders to overcome Surrey in the quarter-final and Willey's performance will likely be crucial.
Sam Curran - Surrey
While Willey was the dominant scorer in the group stage, can you bet against Sam Curran being the match-winner against the Steelbacks in the quarter-final?
Quieter with the bat than in recent years, Curran has been on fire with the ball once more, taking 21 wickets in the group stage at an average of 16.42.
Encouragingly, though, the left-hander's batting form seems to have returned in The Hundred, with 112 runs from just 69 balls in the Oval Invincibles imposing batting lineup.
Chris Green - Lancashire Lightning
Batting? Tick. Bowling? Tick. Fielding? Tick. Chris Green's got it all.
He's not as prolific with the bat as the likes of Willey or Curran, but with the ball he's more than a match. Twenty-one wickets in the group stage, 181 runs at a strike rate of 145, and 14 dismissals in the field; Green averaged 98 Ultimate Picks points per game - 14 more than Curran.
With Jos Buttler likely to be absent from the Blast quarter-final due to international commitments, Green could hope to get more of a go with the bat against Kent, but will he outscore the two players listed above? We're not sure.
Wicketkeepers
Tom Kohler-Cadmore - Somerset
Not a regular wicketkeeper, but TKC did snag himself two stumpings in his rare outing with the gloves against Surrey to justify his place within the 'keepers list in this year's Ultimate Picks.
It's really with the bat that he's shone this summer, especially the speed in which he scores his T20 runs. TKC hit 421 runs in the group stage, at a strike rate of a staggering 174 - fourth highest among batters with more than 250 runs.
He needs just 73 runs to become the 17th batter in T20 Blast history to score 4000 runs.
Tom Latham - Bears
Like TKC, Tom Latham is rarely in command of the gloves in the Vitality Blast but more than makes up for it with his batting stats.
Over 400 runs in the tournament so far makes him the Bear's second-leading scorer (just above the next guy on our list), and one of just eight batters to reach three figures in the Blast this year.
Alex Davies - Bears
Had scheduling allowed, we'd definitely have Jos Buttler in this list, but it's looking unlikely Universe Jos will be released from England duty to play in Lancashire's quarter-final. So why not consider another Bear in the shape of Buttler's former Lancashire teammate Alex Davies?
Davies smashed 393 runs in the group stage, just nine fewer than Latham and claimed 10 dismissals behind the stumps. He's also hit the most boundaries of any Bears batter in the group stage, clearing the ropes 19 times in 14 innings.
Bowlers
Ben Sanderson - Northamptonshire Steelbacks
At a sprightly 36 years old, Ben Sanderson has had one of his best ever seasons with the white ball, picking up 24 wickets in the group stage, striking every 13 balls on average. Add in his miserly economy of 7.81 runs per over and you've got yourself an absolute T20 baller.
He started the competition with a bang, taking 13 wickets in his first four games, including a remarkable performance of six wickets for eight runs, including a hat-trick, against Worcestershire Rapids.
Scott Currie - Hampshire Hawks
One of the young stars of The Hundred, Scott Currie and Hampshire Hawks teammate Sonny Baker are keeping the legendary Sir James Anderson out of the Manchester Originals lineup at present.
Currie picked up 22 wickets for the Hawks in the group stage, having taken 19 while on loan at Leicestershire Foxes in 2024. He's followed up that form in The Hundred so far, with eight scalps in the originals opening six games.
Luke Wood - Lancashire Lightning
Having missed out on selection for England Men's ODI squad against South Africa, there's a good chance Luke Wood will be available for Lancashire's quarter-final before joining up with the IT20 squad.
The left-arm seamer picked up 22 wickets in the group stages and will be key for Lancashire's chances of keeping Kent's Tawanda Muyeye and Zak Crawley quiet at the top of the innings.
