ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026: Qualifiers, Teams, and What’s Next

Find out who has already qualified for next summer's ICC Women's T20 World Cup, who's still battling it out for a spot in the competition and the games ahead.

The stage is set. The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup is coming to England and Wales next summer, boasting a record 12 teams across four weeks of world-class action at many of the best venues in the UK from June 12 to July 5, 2026.

So far, we have the schedule, we have the venues, and we have eight of the 12 teams locked in. Six of the spots have been secured through performances in the 2024 edition (Australia, England, India, New Zealand, South Africa and West Indies) and two via ICC rankings system (Pakistan and Sri Lanka).

Which leaves four places still up for grabs!

Over the past year, 43 nations have been competing across five regional qualifiers, each aiming to book their spot in the Global Qualifier, taking place in Nepal from January 12, 2026. The competition takes place over 22 days, with 10 teams battling it out for those coveted spots for the main event next June.

With Bangladesh, Nepal, Scotland, Thailand, and the United States having all secured their spots in the Global Qualifier, there are just three regional competitions left to take place.

The Europe Qualifier kicked off on August 20 seeing Germany, Ireland, Italy and the hosts -the Netherlands – battle it out for two spots in next year’s Global Qualifier.

In Namibia, the Africa Qualifier gets going at the end of the month, from August 31 to September 6. Kenya, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe all competing for another two places.

The final regional qualifier will take place in Fiji for the East Asia-Pacific regions from September 9 to 17. Cook Islands, Fiji, Indonesia, Japan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Samoa and Vanuatu all bidding for the final spot.

All the fixtures across both regional and global qualifiers can be livestreamed HERE.
