Van Niekerk Reaction
South African captain Dane van Niekerk - who starred in last year's Kia Super League for Loughborough Lightning - is topping the wicket charts with 15 at an average of eight. The manner in which England countered her and fellow leggie Sune Luus was one element of their group stage victory against South Africa and they'll want to repeat that tomorrow. South Africa's spinners, for their part, won't be short on confidence but how will they feel coming up against a batting line-up that dispatched them for 373 less than two weeks ago?
Depth
England's strength across this tournament has come from having a number of players ready and waiting to put their hand up. There have been stand-out performances - and stand-out performers - but equally players have chipped in when they've been required. England's victory over Australia was predominantly down to the partnership between Jenny Gunn and Katherine Brunt and, against West Indies, Gunn and Marsh helped England add valuable lower-order runs. It's something that will have delighted Mark Robinson. Who may make it their day tomorrow?
Reading The Pitch
So much talk in this tournament has been about the pitches and how much use they've had. The track for tomorrow's game has been used once before in this tournament, in the game between England and Australia, so it won't be a belter like the one used by these two teams in the group stages. Expect a pitch not hugely dissimilar to the one used for England's final group game, against the West Indies: slow, low and grippy.
Lee And Woolvardt
The South African opener Lizelle Lee has been in imperious form this tournament, and she scores her runs at one hell of a lick. Opening partner Laura Woolvardt - just 18 - has also been impressing many with her ability, and the style with which she scores her runs. Mark Robinson spoke in today's pre-match press conference about how impressed he's been with Woolvardt, who could add big-game runs to her CV if she impresses tomorrow.
Sarah Taylor
England's wicketkeeper Sarah Taylor has enjoyed a strong World Cup, not least given the nature of her return to the team and she can expect to be buoyed by returning to Bristol to take on the same team against whom she brought up a century, and combined with Tammy Beaumont for a partnership of 275. Same again?
