England Men's Mixed Disability 206-3 beat India Men's Mixed Disability 191-8 by 15 runs
A century from Angus Brown drove England Men’s Mixed Disability team to a 15-run win over India Men’s Mixed Disability team and levelled the series at 1-1.
Brown had made a half-century in the series-opening defeat on Thursday, and his good form continued here with a fine hundred, England’s first in the Mixed Disability format.
He struck seven fours and eight sixes in a 43-ball blitz, putting on 152 for the fourth wicket with Liam O’Brien, who also continued his form from the first game.
India stayed in the game for much of the chase, never letting England relax but the bowlers had enough to see England home.
There was a first international wicket for Sussex’s 16-year-old spinner Jake Vosloo.
The two teams meet again on Monday, tied at 1-1 with three games to come.
Angus Brown said: “I’m delighted to score a century but I’m all the more delighted about us winning the game and levelling the series.
“Individual landmarks are really special but they mean so much more when they’re match-winning and in the context of this series it’s a big win.
“They chased hard and made a real game of it, the next three games are going to be really hard-fought - as these two have been - and we know we’re in for a real challenge.
“We held our nerve really well with the ball today when they were coming at us, it was a good deck for batting, credit to our bowlers and we’re delighted to be at 1-1 going into game three.”
