England Men's Mixed Disability team clinch historic 4-1 series win

Callum Flynn's side sign off from inaugural overseas trip to India with historic 4-1 win.

England Men's Mixed Disability 128-1 beat India Men's Mixed Disability 125 by nine wickets

England Men's Mixed Disability team capped off their first-ever overseas series with a win to sign off as 4-1 winners in the five-match series.

Angus Brown continued his fine form with another half-century to take the visitors to a comfortable victory, after seamer Farooq Mohammed had taken 3-22 to bowl out the hosts for 125.

Brown found admirable company in opening partner Jonathan Gale, who made his first fifty of the series.

It was enough to see Brown earn both Player of the Match and Player of the Series, the Hampshire man often the difference between the two sides - his century in the second game of the series so pivotal in keeping England in the contest and shifting the momentum. In the end, Brown scored 268 runs at 57.

Captain Callum Flynn said: "We're over the moon to have come out 4-1 winners. We'd have taken that coming over here and we've have been even more keen after the first game!

"I'm so proud of the lads. Everyone has given everything, in tough conditions, against a tough opponent, and that's what representing your country is all about.

"There have been some fantastic individual moments, of course, and Angus and Liam and Jordan can all point to match-winning contributions but I think as a unit we've worked so hard together and it's a special achievement.

"No England Disability team has come to India and won before and that means a lot. We're really thankful to everyone who has supported us, to the coaching staff, to our friends and our family for getting behind us, and hopefully this is the first England Men's Mixed Disability away win of many."
