The remainder of England Lions' 50-over series against Pakistan Shaheens has been cancelled, while the planned England Women's training camp to Abu Dhabi will also not take place.
The Lions were due to play five 50-over matches against Pakistan in the UAE, but the series has been cancelled after one game. England Women were due to fly to the region this weekend to play a series of intra-squad fixtures, with alternative venues now being explored.
An ECB spokesperson said: “The remainder of the England Men’s Lions’ tour has been cancelled, and we are working to get everyone home as soon as possible.
“We have ruled out the possibility of England Women’s T20 World Cup camp taking place in Abu Dhabi given the instability across the Gulf."
