Charlotte Moore - Women and Girls’ Development Manager, Gloucestershire Cricket Foundation

Cricket has been a defining part of my life for as long as I can remember, and now I have the privilege of shaping the game for others.

As the Women’s and Girls’ Development Manager at the Gloucestershire Cricket Foundation, I work with 64 women’s and girls’ clubs across Gloucestershire and Bristol, helping to grow the game and create more opportunities for females to get involved. A big part of my role is integrating female cricket into the core of a cricket club, and proving it really is a game for everyone.

My journey began at just eight years old when a Chance to Shine coach visited my primary school. That single moment sparked a passion that’s never left me. I joined a local club and played in a boys’ team, learning resilience, confidence, and a love for playing the game. At 13, I moved into a club with a Women's and Girls' section, and that’s when I truly found my place in the game. From this age, I knew there was one thing I wanted to do career wise, and that was to inspire others to take a chance with cricket.

What drives me most is knowing how far the game has come, and how much further it can go. Fifteen years ago, I would have loved to see the kind of opportunities I now help create. Being able to pave the way for others, to open doors and inspire confidence, is something I’m incredibly proud of.

To any woman or girl thinking about cricket, I say cricket is for everyone, so come and get involved wherever you fit in the game, because there’s never been a better time than now.
