India go 2-1 up in Mixed Disability series

Callum Flynn's England side fall to defeat at Leicester and go 2-1 up in Vitality Mixed Disability IT20 series.

India Men's MD 125-9 beat England Men’s MD 117 by 8 runs

Tourists India went 2-1 up in the seven-match Vitality IT20 series against England, winning a low-scoring affair by eight runs at Leicester to blow the series open.

All-rounder Liam O'Brien took 4-17 with the ball as India were restricted to 125-9 batting first, but like in Friday's second IT20 at Derby the visitors were able to defend their precarious total.

Ronnie Edwards top-scored for England with a patient 41, but despite some late hitting from Chris Edwards England lost regular wickets and were never able to keep up with the rate.

India are chasing their first-ever series win, having lost to England last summer at in India over the winter, and they'll be desperate to get a third win at Hove on Tuesday.

Captain Callum Flynn said: "A frustrating day. It wasn't the easiest pitch to score runs on but I thought we were well in the game at the break. Liam did very well to pick up four wickets and I'd have backed us to chase 125.

"But they bowled really well and we could never get going. It's good for the series that they're 2-1 up but obviously we're desperate to win so hopefully we can get back to 2-2 at Hove."
