Cook sets record for consecutive Tests

Alastair Cook beat a 24-year-old record when he played against Pakistan at Headingley

Alastair Cook set a new record by playing in his 154th Test when England took on Pakistan in the second Test of the 2018 summer at Headingley.

The Three Lions opener equalled Australia great Allan Border's record of 153 Tests against Pakistan at Lord's - and went one better in the second fixture between the sides.

Cook is no stranger to record-making and breaking outings – he is England's most capped Test cricketer and was the youngest player to reach 10,000 Test runs.
