Vitality Blast: Durham win fourth successive Blast match

Graham Clark hit a superb half-century to guide Durham Jets to their fourth straight win while Matt Critchley proved Debryshire's hero

SCORECARDS
Derbyshire Falcons 170/5 beat Yorkshire Vikings 166/8 by 5 wickets
Durham Jets 136/3 beat Notts Outlaws 132/7 by 7 wickets

GOLD RUSH-WORTH
Durham got off to a superb start picking up a wicket in the first over as Chris Rushworth kept sending down dynamite deliveries and the Notts bats blew up. With the conditions helping the bowlers, the ball nipping around considerably, the Durham attack made the most of the help keeping Notts Outlaws to just 132 from their 20 overs.

RAIDERS OF THE LOST CLARK
It's been a week to remember for the Clark family. First Jordan, of Lancashire, took one of the greatest hat-tricks in cricket's long history in the Roses match, and then brother Graham, of Durham, goes and scores a wonderful fluent half-century to lead his side to victory. He showed intent from the off, leaning forward and driving crisply the first ball of the innings for four straight down the ground.

JETS FLYING HIGH
Victory was relatively straight forward in the end, even beating the deluge of rain that fell almost as soon as the teams left the field, Durham reaching the total with a further three overs to go. Their fourth consecutive win, Durham moved to second in the North Group, just below Lancashire on run rate, putting them in a great position to push for a knockout stage spot.

MILLENNIUM FALCONS
The manner in which Derbyshire got out of such a tight spot and became victors is the type of twist only script writers could concoct. It looked all but over for them when young Matt Critchley strode out with the bat. But 38 runs off 16 balls later and Yorkshire were beaten in front of a sell out Chesterfield crowd. Needing 19 from the last over, Crictchley swung hard to to biff Tim Bresnan for 22 and see his side home with a ball left over.
