Broad returns to roots at first club

England fast bowler Stuart Broad went back to his roots to help champion the volunteers at the heart of local cricket clubs.

Lord's is beckoning for Stuart Broad but it was all about Melton Mowbray as he visited his first club Egerton Park CC to catch up with former captain, David Glover.

The England fast bowler went back to his roots to help champion the volunteers at the heart of local cricket clubs as part of a new initiative with winemaker Hardys.

Tea and a telling trip down memory lane followed. Watch Broad's return to Egerton Park below.

Each month this summer, the Official Wine of England Cricket will work with The Cricketer magazine to profile those individuals who are the driving force – or heartbeat – of their local club and reward them for their unstinting work with a selection of Hardys wine.
