The England and Wales Cricket Board in partnership with Castore have released a new IT20 shirt for the coming 2023/24 season, which will be worn by the reigning men's IT20 champions, the women's team, which reached the semi-finals in the previous competition, and the disability teams.
The T20 kit, designed in collaboration with key players from the men's, women's, and disability teams, is specific to the needs of elite-level cricketers. The design is based on an explosion of the England Cricket crest with a crown and lion pattern towards the bottom of the shirt. This represents the explosive and current disruptive style that England Cricket plays, and is sure to capture the attention of fans worldwide.
The Pro Kit, which is worn by the players on the pitch, is crafted from a high-stretch and recycled poly elastane blend that allows freedom of movement for athletes that a conventional garment would not. The kit also features mesh panelling at the underarms to keep athletes cool and focused throughout play.
This joint initiative between Castore and the ECB provides England players and supporters with kit that is rooted in sportswear technology and innovation, and is a clear demonstration of the commitment of both companies to enhancing performance and ease of movement.
