KP Snacks, Official Partner of The Hundred, and the ECB celebrated the extension of their partnership yesterday, through an event at the 100th grassroots community cricket pitch which the partnership has delivered across England and Wales.
In agreeing a multi-year renewal of the partnership to remain an Official Partner of The Hundred, KP Snacks and the ECB will continue to cooperate in their joint mission to get families across the country active through the sport of cricket.
Stars of The Hundred such as Kane Williamson, Meg Lanning, Sam Billings and Charlie Dean teamed up with singer, presenter and actor Fleur East and former Premier League and England footballer Jermain Defoe for a game of cricket on a newly installed pitch at South London’s Charlton Park in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
Over the past three years, KP Snacks’ ‘Everyone In’ initiative has now installed 112 all-weather community cricket pitches in parks and community locations across England and Wales, delivering the opportunity to get active through cricket to thousands of people in the areas previously underserved by the sport. As well as Charlton Park, other pitches in Royal Greenwich include Avery Hill Park, Eltham Park South and Hornfair Park.
In their mission to deliver 1 million opportunities to get active by 2033, KP Snacks and the ECB have installed 31 pitches in the North of England, 15 in the Midlands, 28 in the South West & Wales and 26 in London and the South East, attracting record numbers of new players to the sport since the opening of the first ‘Everyone In’ pitch in 2022.
The renewal follows KP Snacks’ announcement earlier this year to become the Official Team Partner of the England men’s, women’s and disability national cricket teams, as it continues its mission to encourage families and communities up and down the country to get active through cricket.
Beginning with the 2026 season of The Hundred, KP Snacks brands, including McCoys, Pom-Bears, KP Nuts and Hula-Hoops, will appear on the sleeves of the men’s and women’s teams of all eight teams in the competition, driving brand awareness.
Alex Perkins, Commercial Director of the ECB said: “Working with KP Snacks on the ‘Everyone In’ campaign, we’ve seen huge uptake of cricket at the all-weather pitches across the country, helping to introduce a whole new generation of fans to our wonderful game. We’re delighted to be continuing our partnership with KP Snacks, who were the first partner to come on board with The Hundred and have played a huge role in the growth and development of the competition over the past six years.”
Kevin McNair, Marketing Director at KP Snacks said: “Since its inception, the ‘Everyone In’ campaign has been about creating opportunities for families and communities to get active through cricket. And I think Fleur, Jermain and the cricketers here today have shown us how easy and fun cricket can be when people come together. It’s been great to celebrate the landmark of 100 all-weather community pitches installed, which over the past three years have made a huge difference to communities and given more people the opportunity to give cricket a go. With our renewal as an Official Partner of The Hundred confirmed, we look forward to continuing our mission to create more than 1 million opportunities for people to get active across the UK by 2033.”
Councillor Sandra Bauer, Cabinet Member for Equality, Culture and Communities, said: “It’s so important for local families here in Royal Greenwich to have as many opportunities as possible to get active, so that their health supports them to live their best lives. We’re so grateful to The Hundred and KP Snacks for choosing Charlton Park as the home of an ‘Everyone In’ pitch as well as for their century celebrations. These new artificial wicket facilities will make cricket more accessible to our communities, helping local people get active and inspiring the next generation of cricketers. If you fancy having a game with your family, you can hire cricket equipment for free from Charlton House, Plumstead and Woolwich Centre libraries.”
