FIVE STAR RETURN FOR FLETCHER

Stuart Broad may have been the star name on Nottinghamshire's line-up but it was fellow fast bowler Luke Fletcher who stole the show in Worcester. The 29-year-old took four wickets in 19 balls as he triggered a collapse for Worcestershire as he broke Joe Clarke and Travis Head's 65-run fourth-wicket partnership. Fletcher finished with career-best figures of 5-27 as the hosts were bowled out for 110.

MANCHESTER DELIGHTS IN RECORD BREAKERS

It is not just the footballers who enjoy setting records in Manchester these days. Jordan Clark and Tom Bailey broke a 136-year record for the highest ninth-wicket stand against Surrey, with the latter scoring just a third career half-century and finishing with a career-best 66 on a run-filled day at Old Trafford.

WICKETS TUMBLE AT HOME OF CRICKET

There may have been 41.5 overs bowled at Lord's on day three but it was still enough time for 11 wickets to fall. Michael Hogan was the pick of the bunch for Glamorgan, bowling Hilton Cartwright, having Paul Stirling caught behind and seeing Tim Murtagh edge to second slip to complete his five wicket haul as Middlesex were bowled out for 194. However, the hosts fought back as Murtagh claimed 4-12 in eight overs to leave the visitors 38-4 before bad light brought a premature end to the day's play.

GLOS STUTTER IN LOW CHASE

Stiaan van Zyl made a crucial 44 for Sussex but the hosts were limited to 204 in their second innings as Gloucestershire were set 167 to secure their second successive County Championship victory. However, there was still plenty of life left in the match as Van Zyl's three wickets put a huge dent in the visitors' chase. The away side need another 59 runs, the home side four wickets... who will come out on top?
