SHALL I COMPARE THEE TO A SOMERSET'S DAY?
The cat and mouse fight for the Championship title continues for another round, after Somerset easily dealt with Yorkshire to keep pace with league leaders Surrey. The win at Headingley makes the run in all the more tantalising, especially considering the two sides are set to meet at Taunton in two weeks' time.

Opps...I Sid it again!
They were made to wait by a begrudging Hampshire lower order, but Essex picked up a much-needed win thanks to the bowling of Peter Siddle and Simon Harmer. They face Surrey twice in their final four fixtures and, while the reigning champs will back their ability to get results, putting a gap between themselves and the relegation spot could prove vital come the end of the season.

LIFE OF RILEY
Kent maintained their hopes of promotion to Division One with a comprehensive win over Derbyshire, returning to second place in the second tier after leapfrogging Sussex, who lost on Friday. Despite a nervy chase of 110 in which four wickets fell, the result was a straight forward one after Kent's huge first innings total and then good performance with the ball from spinner Adam Riley.
GLOS FINISH
It was only a matter of time before Gloucestershire got the four remaining wickets they required to beat Leicestershire, so emphatically have they outplayed their fellow Division Two side.In the end, they were done before lunch, youngster Ben Charlesworth wrapping proceedings up with his first ball of the match, to collect his first wicket in Championship cricket.
