CHAMPIONS
It was a long time coming. Fifteen years, in fact. But Worcestershire Rapids finally had their hands on the Vitality Blast trophy. Having come so close in the Royal London One-Day Cup earlier in the year, this time they managed to get over the line to amazing celebrations.

THINK OUTSIDE THE COX
Once again on Finals Day Ben Cox produced a match-defining performance, rescuing a stumble following a steady start and guiding Worcestershire to victory. Sending Jofra Archer for three consecutive boundaries, including a massive six to clinch the trophy, Cox was duly named Player of the Match.
WORTH YOUR SALT
It looked like a simple scurried single. It turned out to be a schoolboy showing. Running to the non-striker's end, Phil Salt didn't realise Brett D'Oliveira was aiming for his stumps, casually crossing the line when the bails went flying. But TV replays showed he had yet to make contact behind the crease.
Have you ever seen a run out like this?! 😱

THE WRIGHT STUFF PART II
A survivor from the Sussex side that last claimed the T20 title, in 2009, Luke Wright rewrote the record books with a magnificent 92 - the highest individual score on Finals Day. Five fours and seven sixes at a strike rate of 176 helped the Sharks topple the 200 mark and had Somerset stalwart Marcus Trescothick waving the white flag in the Sky Sports Pod. Imperious.
A WIESE A THE ACTION
Wright was more than ably assisted at the other end by David Wiese, who slapped an unbeaten 52 from just 29 balls. That cameo included a ginormous six - surely the biggest we'll see today - that sailed over mid on and almost landed in the fourth tier. Yep, you read that right, the FOURTH tier! Monster.
JOF OF THE CAP
How is it possible for Jofra Archer's smooth as silk action to propel rockets at 90mph? The economy of movement is something to behold, and just when Somerset needed a fast start, they got the opposite. This devilish delivery bounced hard and removed Steven Davies thanks to a neat catch from Danny Briggs.

RAPID ACTION
It was only right that Ben Cox, having got Worcestershire so close to a Royal London One-Day Cup final earlier this season, put in a performance that took the Rapids to their first Blast final. With his team struggling after a blistering start with the bat, the wicketkeeper-batsman then stepped up to smash a brilliant half-century to give his side a total to defend.

POSTMAN PAT
Pat Brown always delivers for Worcestershire. After Cox's excellent work with the bat, it was the turn of young pace bowler Pat Brown to take the game away from Lancashire. Striking four times for a measly 21 runs from his four overs, Brown wrapped up Lancashire's powerful tail-order to see Worcestershire home.
THIS IS ENGLAND
They may be mates off the field however on it Moeen Ali and Jos Buttler are keen competitors. And there was no let up when the pair met in the first Finals Day semi-final, Ali claiming the bragging rights after predicting the event the day before.
THE WRIGHT STUFF
Luke Wright was already a man of the people but his heroic showing on the way back from the nets, when he retrieved a blow-up melon and returned it to the crowd from the clutches of a steward, will go down as the stuff of legend for each and every member of the Hollies Stand. Turn the volume up and listen to that roar of happiness.
